State Involvement

Civil rights and education advocates at the state and local levels have a unique understanding of the issues facing students of color in their communities. They play an extremely important role in developing and championing effective reform policies that will help to ensure every student graduates from high school with a top quality education. CHSE and its partners have joined with advocates in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Mexico to advance education reform efforts at the local and state levels. In these states, important work is already underway to ensure equity in high schools and together, CHSE, its partners, and local advocates can promote the policy recommendations we need to put every student on the path to graduation.

Visit this page often for updates about education reform efforts in each of the states where CHSE is working.
